About me
As a Board Certified Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, Mary is passionate and committed to improving the healthcare of older adults by making quality healthcare accessible and advocating for the needs of the geriatric population. She is the owner and CEO of Holistic Geriatric Care LLC, which is a mid-level provider of community-based geriatric healthcare services. She is also the owner and Executive Director of Daywell Home Care LLC; a non-medical service provider for the elderly and disabled population.
As a Healthcare Entrepreneurial Strategist, Mary has been able to sustain a thriving business in the healthcare industry. It is her desire to equip entrepreneurs to be solutions to the many issues in our healthcare system today. She believes that by empowering and supporting those with a desire to start their own healthcare business, we can truly be the change that we want to see.
Mary is also the founder and facilitator of Soul Triage, an online Christian Education community dedicated to teaching, coaching, and equipping individuals who seek to fulfill their God-given purpose. Soul Triage’s five core values are Transparency, Compassion, Accountability, Integrity, and Community.
Mary has a Masters of Arts in Christian Studies from Wesley Biblical Jackson, MS, Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Adult Health Nursing & Nursing Administration from the University of Southern Miss, and a Post-Graduate Certification in Gerontology from the University of South Alabama.
Mary is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert and Marilyn Shields. She is married to Reginal and she is the mother of four children; Kiera, Mariah, Aliyah, and Isaiah.
